The beans grow on Santa Monica plantations in a warm, tropical climate at an altitude of 1230 meters. The farm, located in southeastern Brazil, is one of the highest farms in the micro-region and produces a significant portion of the country's coffee.

The region is also home to the Alta Mogiana Specialty Coffee (AMSC) organization, which guides and advises specialty coffee producers on bean quality and sustainable agricultural practices. The Santa Monica farm, in particular, uses only organic fertilizers, in the form of compost made from coffee waste.

The coffee has a deep and rich flavor profile: it begins with the delicate sweetness of nougat, transitions to warm notes of dried fruit, and features a slight acidity from dried red apple. This profile is completed by a mild nutty aftertaste, giving the drink a full-bodied, long finish.
